Red66: The Story Behind the Name (and the Jersey)

By: Malayna Alvarez, Blog & Communications Director

The psychology of the color red carries many meanings. You may think “stop” when you think of it (hopefully you’re not reading this in your car); you may think it means anger or aggression; possibly even passion or excitement. The color red has a lot of meaning, but for Red66, they made it personal. Because red is Rebecca Dutcher’s favorite color. She’s the CEO and founder of Red66 Marketing Agency — the brains behind the brand.

Ad Club’s First Agency Tour of 2026-2027

Last Friday, Ad Club visited Red66 Marketing Agency for our first agency tour of the year! It was an incredible experience, especially learning from the professionals who work there.

The Story Behind the Name

From talking with Rebecca, we could immediately tell how passionate she was about her career and Red66. She told us about the vision behind the brand name Red66. Of course, her favorite color is red, so what does the number 66 signify?

Well, she was the first girl in her high school to play on the football team, and 66 was her number!

This honestly said a lot about who Rebecca is as a person and how resilience and passion have driven her to start her own marketing agency.

Red66’s Company Culture

Their culture is flexible, passionate, and “real as f**k”. Personally, I appreciate a company that’s true and honest. I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way, so I would recommend getting in touch with Rebecca and Red66 if you’re looking for an opportunity or connection. Just as they say about their culture, they are a flexible and understanding agency. Their employees are remote on Mondays and Fridays, while some even live out of state in places like Chicago or Spain! Red66 is an agency that understands that real people are working for their company. You don’t see this a lot, especially in greedy, big corporations, so it was refreshing to hear there are good companies out there.

What Should We Take Away From This?

Talking with Rebecca and the team at Red66 helped us understand not just who they are, but what we may be doing in the near future. They talked about their core values, how they connect with clients, and how they keep these clients happy and coming back to Red66. They even discussed what post-graduate students should expect. They shared how hard it is to find a job in this generation and gave us valuable advice. This is what you should take away from this: Don’t stress. Keep applying. You’ll find your place in time!

Overall, the experience that Red66 Marketing Agency provided us Ad Club students was memorable. We appreciate Rebecca and her team for meeting with us last Friday!

Alright Ad Club, we hope you take this blog as an influence to join us on our next agency tour. October’s tour is right around the corner, so don’t miss it. We’ll see you soon!
